Miles with Maeve connects with hospitals and women’s clinics in Louisville and Lexington, KY, providing resources and education to bereaved parents, their loved ones, and their healthcare providers about the needs of loss families.  We provide financial support to national organizations which serve these families through athletes who raise money in exchange for endurance sports coaching, leveraging Garrett’s decade of ultra-endurance sports competition.

In the midst of the chaos that enveloped us when we lost Maeve, we were fortunate to reach out and find a steady hand. We had an experienced doula by our side who fought through 12 inches of snow to marshal support from her extensive personal and professional network around the clock. Because of her efforts, we came to know the hope and compassion offered by some terrific organizations such as Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, Molly Bears, Faith’s Lodge, and Little Angel Gowns.

We spent a week at Faith’s Lodge in June, 2015, and made friendships that will last a lifetime.  The professional photographs taken during our time with Maeve are our most treasured possession. Our Molly Bear gives us a tangible way to connect with our daughter like nothing else can.  Our Little Angel Gown elicited Maeve’s true beauty.

  • A donation of $25 provides sewing supplies for heirloom Little Angel Gowns
  • A donation of $50 can sponsor a family for a night at Faith’s Lodge retreat center
  • A donation of $50 sends a care package to a grieving family in the hospital through Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep
  • A donation of $100 provides the funds for 2 custom-made teddy bears, weighted to a child’s birth weight, through Molly Bears

Little Angel Gowns makes burial gowns out of wedding gowns for babies who are called to their heavenly home.  All ‘angel gowns’ are donated to hospitals and funeral homes and are a gift to the families.
